Expiring Non-CIP Policies

If your administrator is tracking your non-CIP certificates, you will need to provide your renewal certificate(s) as your current policies approach expiration.

When one or more of your policies is within 30 days of expiration, your contract status will change to “Expiring Offsite Coverage”. If the administrator has email automations turned on, you will also receive an email notification reminding you to upload your renewal certificate(s).

Expired Non-CIP Policies

If you have not provided your renewal information by the policy expiration date, your contract status will change to “Expired Offsite Coverage”. You will also begin receiving email reminders that you are non-compliant with your contract requirements.

Accessing the Non-CIP Renewal Page

The contracts that have expiring or expired non-CIP policies will be listed in the "Expired Offsite COIs" section of the “My Action Items” on the Dashboard or on the "My Contracts" tab.

Click on the category or section header to see the list of contracts with expiring or expired non-CIP policies.

Click on a contract in the list to open the policy renewal window for that contract.

You can also click on the “click here” link in the policy expiration alert that appears on the contract overview window to begin the policy renewal process.

Understanding the Non-CIP Renewal Page

The policy renewal window will open from the right side of the screen.

Active policies that are not within 30 days of expiring will display a green check. If an active policy is within 30 days of expiration, an orange check will display. Once a policy is expired, a red X will be shown.

The renewal screen will automatically open to the first policy that needs to be renewed.

Upload Non-CIP Renewal Documents

Upload the renewal certificate using the “+ Add Document” button. The system will ask if the document you are uploading includes any of the other policies needed. If so, select “Yes” for each applicable policy and save the page.

If your administrator has activated the artificial intelligence (AI) feature, the Certificate of Insurance (COI) will be read by the system’s AI when you upload the document. The AI will populate the fields in the enrollment form with the data from the document. If the AI is activated, there will be a blue AI icon along with a message about the AI function below the policy coverage name.

Submitting the Non-CIP Renewal

Continue through the pages, updating the policies that need to be renewed. Once a policy is updated, the orange check mark or the red X will be replaced with a green check.

Save and close the last policy page. This will send a notification to the administrator to review your updated information.

Contract Status Update

Your contract will be in “Expired Offsite Pending Review” status until the administrator reviews and confirms your renewal information.

Once all expiring or expired non-CIP policies are updated with the renewal information and the administrator confirms the information, the contract will be removed from your "My Action Items”.
