What Are CIP and Non-CIP Certificates?

A CIP (Controlled Insurance Program) certificate is the certificate provided to you when enrolling into a wrap policy purchased by the sponsor/owner to cover the work you do while on the jobsite.

A non-CIP (or Offsite) certificate is the certificate for your company’s own insurance coverage. These policies cover the work you do when not on the jobsite as well as provide any other required coverages not provided by the CIP.
